Islamic Center of MOMIN is pleased to announce the special programs for families during the Holy Month of Ramadhan-ul-Mubarak. Please look at the attached Ramadhan Calendar to find program for each night of the Holy Month. Spiritual rewards are abundant in this Holy Month. MOMIN will humbly present prizes to participants in the following categories:
Children's BISMILLAH ceremony:
It is recommended by Ahl-ul-Bait A.S. , to start Quran Studies for a child at the age of four. Therefore, a Bismillah Ceremony for children born in 2003 will be held on this coming Saturday, Sept 15. Please sign up your child before this Saturday with Br Faraaz Mahdi (sfaraaz@hotmail.com) or Br. Azhar Pirbhai.
Children's Ramadan Quiz:
For Children's Quiz (to be held on Saturday October 6th) the requirement is:
Ages 6 and below: 3 Surahs, Wajib and Mustahab actions of Wudhu, and names of the Imams.
Ages 7 to 10 years: 8 Surahs, Wajib and Mustahab actions of Wudhu and Salaat, and names of the 14 Masumeen.
Ages 11-14 years: 10 Surahs, Wajib and Mustahab actions of Wudhu, Ghusal, and Salaat, and Names of Uul-ul-Azam Prophets and revealed books in English and Arabic.
Prizes will be distributed among the children on the same day.
ISM Students Ramadan Contest:
Ramadhan Contest: Children will prepare 5 minute(do not exceed time limit) presentations on one of the Companions of the Holy Prophet (S) and Imams (AS), which will be presented during the Sunday Islamic School Assembly on September 23rd and October 7th. Power Point presentation is required for ages 11 - 12 onwards. This contest is open to all children of the community. Assembly starts at 6:30PM (for those of you who do not attend ISM and would like to participate.) The names of personalities are given in the attached flyer. Please register your name with Br. Youth Presentations:
HELP
Youth (15-25 years) will prepare 5 minute presentations on Ayaat-e-Wilayat i.e. verses of Holy Quran about Wilayat of Imam Ali (as) or Ahle Bayt (as). Please contact Br. Yusuf Ali or Maulana Shamshad Haider (murtazawi@hotmail.com ) to select an ayah. The speech should focus on
· Meaning
· Occasion of its revelation
· explanation and lessons for our life and faith.
Prizes will be given to all the presenters, Inshallah.
Adult Quizes on Saturdays:
Every Saturday adult quizzes will be held after the Isha Salat. A Ramadhan Study Guide(attached) is available to help with the preparation for the quizzes. The study guide consists of Ahkam questions, Akhlaq section, and Tafsir of first 30 verses of Surah Maidah. Quizzes will be held according to the following schedule:

Sept 15th Adult Quiz on Ahkam (questions 1-61).

Sept 22nd Adult Quiz on Ahkam (questions 62-86) and Akhlaq. (two Hadiths in the study Guide)

Sept 29th Adult Quiz on Ahkam (questions 87-108) and Tafsir of Surah Maidah. (first 30 verses only)

October 6th Adult Final Overall Quiz on Ahkam (questions 109-134), Akhlaq and Tafseer.
